Description of the monthly sea ice production data set in the Bering Sea. (AMSR-E and AMSR2 version) The heat flux and sea ice production analysis is calculated daily on the polar stereographic grid with a spatial resolution of 6.25 km. The analysis uses AMSR-E and AMSR2 data, and ERA-Interim data with a spatial resolution of 0.5 deg. x 0.5 deg.. The algorithm of AMSR thin ice thickness and the mapping of sea ice production is described in Ohshima, K. I., N. Tamaru, H. Kashiwase, S. Nihashi, K. Nakata, and K. Iwamoto, 2020: Estimation of sea ice production in the Bering Sea from AMSR-E and AMSR2 data, with special emphasis on the Anadyr polynya. Journal of Geophysical Research, 125, doi:10.1029/2019JC016023. When you will use these data set in your paper, please be sure to refer Ohshima et al. (2020). In this web site, the sea ice production analysis is available in individual yearly files of individual monthly data products. Kay I.
