This was our third field campaign in Glaciar Grey, a lake calving
glacier in Chilean Patagonia. Our previous study indicated significant
differecne between lake and ocean terminating calving glaciers, in
terms of glacier front melting and calving. To furthering our
understanding of the glacier-lake interaction, we measured water
properties in Lago Grey in front of the glacier. Nothing is easy to
work in Patagonia, but we got a great help from local collaboraors and
concluded our project with a beautiful data set from instruments
recovered from the lake.
