We took a flight from Cape Town, South Africa to Novolazarevskaya, a Russion Antarctic base on November 2. This flight is operated by ALCI (Antarctic Logistic Centre International) since 2001. After waiting of 5 days for good weather, we flew to S16 where the participants from the wintering team are waiting with snow vehicles. The team set off for the inland traverse with 4 vehicles and 28 sledges on November 14.
