++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Subject: [SICOPOLIS:150] Newlines in run-specs headers From: Ralf Greve Date: 2024-09-29, 16:45 To: SICOPOLIS ML Dear all, through a recent discussion with Shreyas Gaikwad (UTexas Austin), I noticed that it is important to save the run-specs header files always with UNIX-style newlines (LF). If they have Windows-style newlines (CR-LF), which may occur when editing headers on a Windows system, the processing by the bash script 'sico.sh' doesn't work properly and produces some strange error messages. In the concrete example that pointed us to the issue, specifying the path to an initial-value file (variable 'ANF_DAT_PATH') with the '-a' option of 'sico.sh' didn't work. After having changed the CR-LF's in the header to UNIX-style LF's, the problem was solved.
