++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Subject: [SICOPOLIS:146] Physical-parameter files given up From: Ralf Greve Date: 2024-05-15, 18:58 To: SICOPOLIS ML Dear all, if you have followed the recent commit logs, you may have noticed that the physical-parameter files 'phys_para_xxx.{dat,nc}' are gone. Instead, the parameters are now defined in the run-specs header files. Only the temperature-dependent, tabulated values of the rate factor, heat conductivity and specific heat are still read from a file (ASCII or NetCDF format), which must be located in 'sico_in/general/' and specified by the new parameter 'RF_KAPPA_C_FILE'. Note that this change requires updating the run-specs headers. It has been done for the headers in 'headers/templates/', so you can check them out. The new parts are - the entire section "Physical parameters" (previously "Physical parameter file"), - under "Type of grid, spatial resolution", the five parameters for the stereographic projection (PLANET_R, PLANET_A, PLANET_F_INV, STEREO_PROJ_LATD0, STEREO_PROJ_LOND0). As always, please let me know if you come across any troubles, or just have difficulties getting things running. Thank you!
