++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ From greve at lowtem.hokudai.ac.jp Mon Nov 23 04:46:44 2015 From: greve at lowtem.hokudai.ac.jp (Ralf Greve) Date: Mon, 23 Nov 2015 12:46:44 +0900 Subject: [SICOPOLIS:43] Commit logs with extensive diff listing Message-ID: <56528C24.3060005@lowtem.hokudai.ac.jp> Dear colleagues, this is for those of you who are also subscribed to the SICOPOLIS-Commits mailing list. You may have realised that, since the migration to AWI's new FusionForge system, the commit logs contain an extensive list of diffs which makes them very long (see, e.g., [SICOPOLIS-Commits:329]). I don't like it, and I talked about it with Christian Sch?fer-Neth who administers the system at AWI. He said that, despite trying hard, he and his colleagues have not been able yet to find out how to suppress the diffs. So we have to live with it for the time being. Despite the diff overkill, the commit logs are useful. The important and concise information comes always after the heading "Log:", so please look for this part and, unless you are really interested in the details of the implementation, simply ignore the rest.
