Heinz Blatter and I have been doing a lot of testing in order to fine-tune the method, and it works really nice now. For the EISMINT Phase 2 Simpli ed Geometry Experiment A, the polythermal run specified by the header file sico_specs_v32_emtp2sge25_expA.h (CALCMOD==1, CTS_MELTING_FREEZING==2) and a similar run with the enthalpy method (CALCMOD==2, ENTHMOD==1) produce temperate ice volumes V_temp that differ by less than 1%. Please feel free to check out the latest revision of the code and experiment with the new method. If you come across any issues, please let me know.
