| The Institute of Low Temperature Science (ILTS), Hokkaido University, is going to hold the ILTS International Symposium on Low Temperature Science as part of the Hokkaido University Sustainability Weeks 2015. The aim of this symposium is to discuss recent activities and future perspectives related to the main themes of ILTS, i.e., basic and applied research on scientific phenomena in cold regions and under low-temperature conditions. Reflecting the organization of ILTS, four sessions will be held on (1) water and material cycles, (2) frontier ice and snow science, (3) environmental biology and (4) research on the Pan-Okhotsk region. The conference language is English, and researchers and students from within Hokkaido University, from Japan and from abroad are cordially invited to attend. | |
